Ropetech is an engineering company established by seasoned engineers, to carry out lifting equipment inspection and operator training services for construction and oil and gas companies.
We inspect and certify lifting equipment, as well as train the operators of contractual equipment ( cranes, forklift, heavy duty construction equipment, etc) to acceptable international standards.(ASME, API, ANSI, OSHA and BSI) for optimal utilization and to minimize equipment downtime in any operation.
Our up -to-date policy is strictly implemented for every task, so as to ensure excellent delivery at every time.
We operate our business with the core value of integrity, mutual respect and dedication amongst others. We are committed to meeting and exceeding client's expectations, as we offer the best value and quality in our services to our very satisfied clients.
OUR SERVICES:
INSPECTION SERVICES:
Over the years we have built a solid reputation in inspecting and certifying of lifting equipment and accessories, using our state of the art equipment.
Inspection of your equipment can be carried out in your facility, depending on the type of equipment for inspection. Your inspection will include:
# Review of previous inspection record.
# Visual inspection of the mechanical, electrical and structural system, wire rope, chain and safety systems.
# Non Destructive inspection of the hook/ or any other item suspected of having cracks or defective welds.
# Load test and operational test.
# Inspection form/Certification
# Certification decal.
We are also duly accredited by the Nigeria Factory Act 1990 to perform testing and certification of lifting equipment and measuring devices. Our highly trained and experienced engineers ( COREN LEEA) and technical personnel, possess good understanding of ASME B30 OSHA 1990/1926 and API standards, that ensure your lifting/rigging and measuring equipment maintain its validity, by proper inspection and certification using various techniques and procedures.
TESTING SERVICES:
Ropetech is fully equipped with state of the art equipment for carrying out inspection and testing of crane, sling, construction equipment etc. We are also duly accredited by the Nigeria Factory Act 1990 to perform testing and certification of lifting equipment and measuring devices. Our highly trained and experienced engineers (COREN LEEA) possess a good understanding of ASME B30 OSHA 1990/1926 and API standards that ensure your lifting/ rigging and measuring equipment maintain its validity by proper inspection and certification using various techniques such as:
DESTRUCTIVE TESTING SERVICES:
Mechanical testing encompasses a variety of methods to measure the properties of materials by observing their reactions to applications of a force as compression, tension , impact, bending of hardness. It's a crucial step in ensuring that components comply with specification requirements in quality, safety and fitness for purpose.
The main purpose of mechanical testing is to determine the strength of materials or piece of equipment. Tensile test also known as tension test, is the most fundamental type of mechanical test. This reveals a great amount of information about a materials and quantifies the important properties.
Lifting equipment engineers need to know these properties so as to understand the material specifications and relate these to their sustainability to lifting operations. We offer both on-site and off-site mechanical testing services. Whenever possible, hydraulics are used for higher tonnage to ensure the safety of our engineers while maintaining accuracy and control during the test procedure.
NON DESTRUCTIVE TESTING:
This involved the use of measuring techniques to detect damage/and or irregularities in materials, providing valuable information about the fitness for purpose of safety of critical components. It's an essential tool for ensuring safe operations, quality control and assessing plant life.
Proper selection and application of NDT processes can provide confidence that a piece of plant or individual component is free from defects.
NDT encompasses various techniques such as ultrasonic inspection, Automated Ultrasonic Inspection, Eddy Current, Time of Flight, Radiographic Inspection, Magnetic Particle Inspection, and Dye Penetration Inspection. These methods can be adapted to automated production processes as well as well as used to inspect localised problem areas.
SYSTEM TESTING SERVICES/ VERIFICATION:
System testing is a generic term used to describe the procedure and method adopted by the manufacturer or competent person to ensure that lifting equipment is of the required standards or specification, that it meet legal and regulatory requirements and is safe to operate. This may include, loading testing, functional testing, stress testing, sample breaking testing, calculation, measurements and thorough examination.
All lifting equipment mist be verified to ensure;
1. It is safe before first use and,
2.. Periodically, once it's is in service to ensure its remains safe for use.
PROOF LOAD TESTING:
We offer Load testing and Overload testing services. Load testing involved applying a load to a structure, materials or piece of equipment to verify its strength. A proof load test is usually expressed as a percentage of working load (WLL) or safe working load (SWL) that the equipment is designed to withstand.
Proof Load testing of equipment is required to ensure that items of lifting equipment can perform to the required standard and in accordance with the designedly safe working (SW) of working load limit (WLL) calculates by the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) during the design and manufacturing process.
TRAINING AND CERTIFICATION:
We provide safety training for the use offer operations and management of lifting appliances and accessories in the oil and gas sector. Our goal is to provide qualitative and superior services that would ensure optimal utilization of both equipment and personnel so as to minimize down time, zero incidence and injury free(IIF) operations.
